Kinugawa&Ryuokyo Gorge

Strong contrast between rocks and red leaves

Ryuokyo is located in the northern part of Tochigi Prefecture and is a valley that developed upstream of the Kinugawa River. Located between Kinugawa Onsen and Kawaji Onsen, it is a scenic spot in Nikko National Park. The rocks on both sides of the canyon are strange. When the leaves on both sides turn red, the color of the white rocks, red leaves, and flowing water forms a strong contrast, which attracts many tourists to take pictures.
