Yoro Valley
Climb the mountain and then go to the Autumn Leaves Festival
The Yoro Valley is formed along the upper reaches of the Yoro River, and there are several well-maintained hiking trails nearby, and it is also a popular spot for viewing autumn leaves. In autumn, the trees on both sides of the valley gradually turn red, making Awamata Falls, Ryumori Momijidakei, and Nakase Promenade famous for their autumn leaves. Events related to the Autumn Leaves Festival are held every year around the Yoro Valley Tourist Center, including drum performances, roasted sweet potatoes, and handmade soba noodles.
